Just a short, full-coloured exercise to get me back into the groove. Below is the process:





So basically:
1. Start out with solid shapes as the basis, using rectangles, squares or cubes, cylinders, spheres. A line of a T-section is used as a guide to draw a standing pose.
2. Second Pass, which is a second sketch over the first one to add some details about the character, like the simplified shape of the hairstyle and features.
3. If it’s all good and ready, do the line art in black. I used Sasson Bushash (사선부라쉬)
4. Fill line art with monotone flat colour, using the Ice Cream Man tool.
5. Use separate layers to colour each part differently.
